About Clip'n'Chip
Firstly, let me introduce myself: I am the owner of Clip’n’chip Dog grooming. I started the business with my daughter Sam, working from home, in September 2005. We had both just qualified with City and Guilds Level 3 Advanced Dog Grooming, having also passed the specified breed practical dog grooming exams, to finalise the whole certificate.
I also hold the Microchipping qualification and certificate trained under veterinarian guidelines. I offer this practice, as an additional service to animals’ grooming needs.
My past experience includes showing dogs at Crufts, teaching City and Guilds part-time dog grooming and animal welfare, at Kingston Maurward College. I also teach home grooming techniques and run courses from the salon.
Meet The Team
Jacqui and Gerry (aka Santa)
Hi. I’m pictured here again with my husband Gerry, who also goes by the name of Santa.
He supports me and my team by doing all the maintenance jobs, and critically now, helping us behind the scenes with the extra Covid-19 deep cleaning routines. He also keeps us refreshed with teas and coffees on busy days.
Dogs adore him, so when the need arises to assist, he has a calming effect on the more nervous ones, who welcome a hug, cuddle and a little bit more reassurance, when having their nails cut.
Sam (with Honey and Minnie)
Hi, I’m Jacqui’s daughter Sam. I’ve worked with mum since the beginning but I now only work part-time due to my boys being at school. These are two of my own dogs. I took a dog, Izzy, from a customer who found her too much as a puppy but she is elderly now. I just love them all.
I also offer a further bespoke grooming service in Muscliffe, from home for anyone living in the Bournemouth area. This can be booked via the salon if required.
Lauren with Rex
Hi. I’m Lauren, I work full time at Clip ‘n Chip. The dog in the picture is Rex. He was from a lovely customer that passed away and needed rehoming. I also have a GSD dog Harvey and a Labrador called Lara.
I love dogs but my passion for animals means that I also look after Rocco my horse, my cat and a giant tortoise.
Be careful, I love everyone that comes in the salon and cuddles are an obligatory part of my work.
Please note all Clip'n'Chip staff are qualified and our newest trainees who bath and dry the dogs are all studying animal based courses where we believe working towards a qualification is paramount.
