About Us

First of all let me introduce myself, I am the owner of Clip'n'chip Dog grooming and I started the business with my daughter Sam from home in September 2005 when we both qualified with City and Guilds level 3 advanced Dog grooming having also passed the specified breed practical dog grooming exams to finalise the whole certificate. I also hold the Microchipping qualification and certificate trained under veterinarian guidelines and this practice is offered as an additional service to animals grooming needs. My past experience includes showing dogs at Crufts level, teaching City and Guilds part time dog grooming and animal welfare at Kingston Maurward College as well as teaching home grooming techniques and courses from the salon.

Sam Kopij (My daughter) - She left in 2010 to start a family but is still with us working on a part-time basis and can still be requested to groom your dog individually, or can board your dog in her family home. Her two boys Jack and Tommy can sometimes be seen at the salon helping Sam to bath their own dog Izzy along with dogs that have been boarded with them before they return home.

Allanah - Allanah is 21 years old and has been with Clip'n'Chip for 4 years. She completed her City & Guilds Level 3 written exam in June 2015 and has now passed all 3 of her independent dog grooming exams in front of an examiner where she has to groom from a specific breed list specified by the Pet Federation Industry and City & Guilds. She has passed with a merit on Schnauzer (Poppy) and Cocker Spaniel (Scooby). Allanah started as an apprentice with Clip'n'Chip, but is now fully qualified and acting as deputy manager in Jacqui's absence and can furfill all your requirements with competence. Well done Allanah!

Ashley James - Ashley is our qualified groomer who currently is working part time with us.

Lauren Etches - Is our new apprentice and now in her second year, but is still currently attending Kingston Maurward College.

Please note all Clip'n'Chip staff are qualified and our newest trainees who bath and dry the dogs are all studying animal based courses where we believe working towards a qualification is paramount.
